It all began in 1997 when Mick rented a small space, bought a couple of tables, some plastic chairs, a pot or two and called himself a restauranteur. Now some 10 years on, it has become one of Sihanoukville longest standing institution.
The name was created in 1998, when Craig, a qualified chef from England, became partner. More tables, chairs, pots, pans, knives, and fork were bought, a menu was created, and a reputation for quality food formed.
With their love for the country, Craigs’ expertise with food, and Mickg's knowledge of the area, they continued to slowly expand. In 2002, a Canadian girl named Kim became the third partner. With years of hospitality experience under her belt, it was just what the restaurant needed. The partnership was sealed. It was fate.
Less than a year later, the trio took a gamble and moved the restaurant closer to the beach. Mick & Craig's today consists of a 50 seat restaurant, with a 17 room guesthouse attached.
